• Royal Air Force Air Cadets (Air Cadets)
• The Royal Air Force Air Cadets is an organisation open to boys and girls from the age of 13yrs and 3mths to 20yrs depending on progress.
  249 Squadron was formed in January 2000.
  Meets twice weekly at Victoria Hall, Victoria Road on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 19.00 to 21.30hrs.
  The aim is to encourage an interest in aviation.
  To give training suitable for both civilian and service life.
  To foster a spirit of adventure and give a grounding in leadership and good citizenship.
