Allsorts Youth Project (AYP)

  • Allsorts supports and empowers young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or unsure (LGBTU) of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity
  • Allsorts offers a weekly drop-in on Tuesday evenings between 5.30pm and 8.30pm, which includes A-Sorted – a health & well-being workshop.

    Additionally, there are monthly groups - Male Matters (a young men’s support group), TAG, (an under 16’s group), No Dress Code (a women’s group) and Transformers (a trans group). Allsorts also offers telephone, email and one to one support.

    The service runs a community volunteer programme and LGBT youth volunteering programme as well as residential trips.

    Homophobia awareness workshops are offered to schools, colleges and youth projects, as well as training courses around homophobia and transphobia.

    Referral Process / Criteria: Self – referrals are accepted as are referrals from Youth Workers, Connexions, Schools, Mental Health Services, Parents and other support workers. Referrals can be accepted over the phone and through email.
