- Supports and develops sustainable development through permaculture projects in Brighton and Hove and East Sussex, including running the 72 hour course which mandates its 'graduates' to use the phrase "permaculture" in relation to their work.
- SE Regional Reps for Permaculture Association (Britain), runs "Building Sustainable Communities", the international permaculture design course, short introductory & practical courses on demonstration plot at Stanmer Organics; convenes Permaculture Diploma action learning guilds and the annual Green Architecture Day. Advice on suitable projects for volunteers and fundraising. Contributes to local policy development.

- For courses we use indoor teaching accommodation in Stanmer Park, which is accessible, and some outdoor sites for practical course venues which are less accessible, eg. renovation orchards, and a demonstration plot which does not yet have wheelchair-suitable paths.
