Community Housing and Therapy (CHT)
- CHT runs 6 residential therapeutic communities for individuals who experience severe and enduring mental health, psychological and/or emotional difficulties.
- CHT runs residential therapeutic communities for adults with severe mental health problems, and a dispersed housing scheme for homeless ex-service personnel. CHT's therapeutic programme is designed to create structure and learning opportunities that will lead to permanent change and eventual independence.
Combining CBT and psychosocial intervention with practical rehabilitation and skill training for work are aimed at helping clients to find methods of coping with persistent distress and to reintegrate in society.
Mount Lodge, a CHT project, is located in Eastbourne and consists in a 15-bedroom house with a beautiful garden and good size communal spaces; it is a home-like atmosphere where care and learning are fostered.
The referral process is usually done through mental health professionals, e.g. psychiatrist, community psychiatric nurse, etc. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require more information or wish to visit us; we are five minutes away from the train station and 10 minutes from the sea front.
