Gardner Arts Centre

  • The Gardner Arts Centre is a popular venue on the University of Sussex campus, presenting over 300 theatre, dance, music, comedy, film and family events every year, as well as adult education classes, exhibitions and a cafe-bar. The centre's ethos is about participation, access and community provision as well as presenting the best of contemporary arts at a local, national and international level.The centre excels at promoting contemporary theatre and dance and attracting new audiences for their work.

  • The Gardner Arts Centre is pleased to welcome disabled visitors and is working to make the centre more accessible. Access is currently limited, with stairs to the auditorium and the gallery. We suggest that wheelchair users book in advance and discuss any specific requirements with our staff who will be pleased to help. We offer disabled customers two free tickets for those assisting them during their visit. Customers displaying a disabled parking badge may park in the turning circle at the front of the building. Guide Dogs are welcome. An induction loop system is available for the hard of hearing, please reserve in advance. We now have an accessible toilet.
