Hastings Schools Stamp Group

• An organisation set up to promote stamp collecting and all things philatelic in schools in the Hastings and Bexhill areas.
• School stamp clubs meet weekly at the individual school, either at lunch time or after school. Children are encouraged to collect stamps and are taught to catalogue them, identify watermarks and perforations, and all other aspects of philately. Weekly competitions are held, based on the National Curriculum. Displays are encouraged. The group is financially self supporting and receives no grants (locally or nationally). The group is twinned with the Montgomery Elementary School Stamp Club in Pennsylvania, USA & St Leo's School Club in Kentucky USA.
