Horizons Community Learning Project and Horizons Forum
- Offers a wide range of Free tasters, short and longer courses to adults wishing to return to learning in an informal setting, close to home. Courses are both accredited and non-accredited. Courses run across Hastings & St Leonards and are supported by free creche facilities. Confidential advice and guidance is offered on a variety of educational and funding opportunities. Support for learning is also offered. Volunteer training and placements are available. The project works closely with other local voluntary and statutory groups including Children Centres.
Friends of Horizons is a constituted voluntary group supporting the work of the Horizons Project. It provides a voice for learners and people in the community and a chance to meet and discuss ideas for community education. It runs a variety of social and fundraising events throughout the year. It promotes the right of adults to learn in their own way, in their own communities.
