Multiple Sclerosis Society, Eastbourne and South Wealdon Branch (MS Society)

  • Fundraising for welfare and relief of persons having MS, providing help, welfare, social activities and visiting service.
  • The Eastbourne and South Weapden branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society is based at the MS Community Support Centre 34-36 St Leonards Road, Eastbourne. A free monthly magazine is published for members offering advice and news on research etc: A full programme of activities take place at the MS Community Support Centre including a fortnightly meeting of a men's group 'The Monday Men' - Chair based yoga classes also on a Monday at 3.00pm, luncheon club every Wednesday,ladies group 10.30 am every Thursday, Young Carers meetings, a Newly Diagnosed group and numerous other activities throughout the year are organised and run by members.
    The aims of the Society are to provide a welfare and support service to persons with Multiple Sclerosis and to provide funding for research to find the cause and cure of the disease. Membership is open to people with MS and to able-bodied people who wish to support the Society.
    All enquiries actioned on a confidential basis, providing support and assistance to all people affected by MS should, in the first instance be via telephone to the Support Centre 01323 439447 - out-of-hours answer-phone service
