Post-Adoption Centre (PAC)

  • Support for anyone affected by adoption or other forms of permanent care.
  • PAC (Post-Adoption Centre) provides advice, information and support to anyone affected by adoption and other forms of permanent care, including birth relatives, adopted adults, and adoptive parents, foster carers and Special Guardians and their children. PAC operates a daily Advice Line, staffed by qualified counsellors experienced in adoption matters, open Monday to Friday 10.00am - 1.00pm and Thursdays 5.30pm - 7.30pm. The Advice Line serves as the gateway to PAC's other services, which include: face to face counselling; intensive therapy for adoptive families; support with contact arrangements between adoptive and birth families; support groups for birth mothers and for adopted adults; an intermediary service for birth relatives and adopted adults wishing to make or maintain contact; workshops and seminars for all parties to adoption; and professional consultation and training. For residents of West Sussex County Council counselling can be offered locally at a venue in Haywards Heath – contact PAC's Advice Line for more details and appointments. PAC is a registered charity and Ofsted-registered Adoption Support Agency.
