• To encourage recreational facilities generally and playing fields in particular within East and West Sussex.
• To encourage recreation in East and West Sussex and for this purpose to co-operate with local authorities and with sporting and recreational organisations. To encourage recreational facilities for the disabled and for children when out of school. To co-operate with all interested parties in saving threatened recreational facilities.
