Sussex Steam Engine Club (S.S.E.C)

  • A club open to anyone who has an interest in full size or model steam traction engines (agricultural and road haulage)
  • The club was formed in East Sussex in 1993. It now has almost 200 members mainly from the South East and a few from abroad. Membership is £8 per year from 1st October. On the second Friday of the month from October to April there are club meetings with guest speakers at the Kings Head public house at East Hoathly. During the summer months the club is represented at most South East steam rallies. The club has an annual road run in the Cross-in-Hand/Waldron area on the first Sunday in October. A newsletter is regularly published throughout the year.
