View Craft

• Visually Impaired Eastbourne & Wealden Craft. We are a voluntary organisation which runs an art and craft group for blind and partially sighted people living in Eastbourne and the Wealden area.
• We meet on Tuesdays from 10am-12noon during school term times at Herstmonceux Village Hall. The craft activities are taught by professional tutors and currently include mosaic work, chair caning, woodcarving, weaving and mixed textiles / clay / paint crafts. Members pay a small weekly contribution but transport is free and is provided by volunteer drivers.

• Our tutors and volunteers are trained by the East Sussex Association for the Blind to assist and work with visually impaired people. The volunteers drive our members to/from their homes to the venue and provide support and assistance with the craft activities. The drivers are paid a fuel allowance.
  The hall is equipped with ramps, disabled toilet and hearing loop. We provide printed material in large print.
