Description
We provide high quality support by trained specialists who understand the specific needs of the trans community as well as abuse and are a by-and-for service. The service is user-led which means that we provide support based on what the individual would like or needs.
We define domestic abuse as violence, abuse or controlling behaviour perpetrated by a partner, ex-partner or family member. This can be physical, emotional, financial or sexual. We also support people affected by so called ‘honour’-based violence and forced marriage.
Do You Need Help?
It can be difficult to spot the signs of abuse, especially if you’re still living in the situation. If you recognise any of the signs below, you may be experiencing abuse. It is important to remember that not all abuse is physical.
Abuse can happen at any point throughout a relationship, even after it has ended. A pattern of abusive behaviour used by a partner to control an individual is domestic abuse.
