The Oyster Project was founded in 2004 by John Russell and became a registered charity in 2009 receiving the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2014.
The Oyster Project supports disabled people and elders to engage with volunteering.
We also assist the work of Westgate who support local groups and charities and also the work of Radio Lewes, Westgate Radio Experimenters Group and Westgate Moving Image Group all of which have been founded and run by Oyster members.
