Lewes Archaeological Group

Investigates archaeology in the Lewes district. Holds lectures in wintertime.

The L A G was formed in 1968 to investigate prehistoric and later remains in Lewes and the surrounding district. The Group engages in fieldwalking, surveying and excavating often in co-operation with other organisations.
In winter the Group organises a series of evening lectures in Lewes Town Hall. A newsletter is published to keep members up to date.
