The Old Boat Corner Community Centre

The Old Boat Corner Community Centre is a home away from home, a place where you can relax, play and make mess, seek help, eat and drink, and enjoy the variety of activities and facilities readily available to all ages and abilities.

Our event spaces host a range of private and community-run classes and groups, such as

• arts and craft
• coffee mornings for the older generation
• charitable fundraisers
• community cinema
• basket ball
• Karate
• Dementia cafe
• Fencing

Parties are also catered for, as the centre offers a large sports hall, a family room as well as other facilities, all available for hire.  These are ideal for parties, sport clubs, training sessions, meetings, and a licensed bar can be provided should you require one. 

Most importantly the centre is a warm and welcoming place, where you can get information, knowledge, and help within a caring community space.

The Centre Cafe serves hot and cold food and drinks, and is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.
