Description
On Tuesdays, our conservation volunteer team goes to Marsham Valley (from Fairlight to Pett) to prep the ground and remove invasive species before beginning installation of a series of leaky dams.
These are natural flood management defences designed to create pools and puddles upstream to slow down water after torrential rain to reduce flood damage downstream.
Project starts in Mallydams Wood in partnership with RSPCA & Future Landscapes Trust.
Meet us at our office on Fearon Road for a 9.30am lift in the minibus. Wear sturdy shoes and outdoor clothes, all other equipment and tools will be provided.
