Eastbourne Disabled Access Day Event, Eastbourne
March 16 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Disabled Access Day on 16th March 2019 is all about ‘You and Somewhere New’.
The main purpose of the day is to encourage disabled people of all ages to go somewhere new into a different shop, cafe or restaurant. Try a new activity, visit a different venue or attraction. Perhaps even go on a bus for the first time.
We want disabled people to be confident in going out within the community knowing they will find a warm welcome.
Eastbourne Access Group with the support of Eastbourne Disability Involvement Group and The Beacon are celebrating and promoting this National Day for the first time in Eastbourne with a variety of displays within The Beacon to include the retailers who have also been invited to participate with a chance to showcase their services and facilities to disabled customers.
The Beacon shopping centre which is fully accessible has a Changing Places Toilet facility and wheelchair accessible toilets. Has a Shopmobility scheme hiring wheelchairs and scooters at the rear entrance by Marks and Spencer. Lifts to car park with blue badge spaces.
We have received confirmation from the following participants:
