Description
East Sussex Bach Choir will be performing music by Henry Purcell, under the musical direction of John Hancorn, including a concert performance of his opera "Dido & Aeneas", the anthem "My Heart is Inditing" & the orchestral suite from "The Fairy Queen". The role of Dido will be sung by Lewes born Rebecca Leggett, who is now an internationally recognised Early Music soloist. Aeneas will be sung by Kristian Thorkildsen, Belinda sung by Sumi Bao Smith. The Baroque Collective will be led by Alison Bury
