The Summer Reading Challenge 2019 Launch – Brighton and Hove Libraries

July 13 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Summer Reading Challenge 2019 launches on Saturday 13th July across Brighton & Hove Libraries and this year the theme is Space Chase. Prepare for lift off as we travel across the galaxy on a very special reading mission, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
Children taking part in the Challenge will help the super space family, The Rockets, as they track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens! As children read library books, they will collect special stickers for their colourful collector’s folder.
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. You can sign up at your local library, then read at least six library books of your choice to collect special stickers and other incentives along the way – all for FREE. There’s a website to add to the fun too! Stories, fact books, audio books, graphic novels, poetry – they all count towards completing the challenge.
It’s completely free to join, runs throughout the summer and anyone can take part. Pre-schoolers can participate in their own mini-challenge.
