Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes; see the world through their eyes; hear the world through their voice.
Brighton Festival and Apples and Snakes present a spoken word project featuring a series of 5 commissioned poems that explore the concept of empathy and otherness. The poems cover the subjects of mental health experience, physical health experience, refugee experience, LGBTQ experience and transgender experience and are available to hear at specially designed listening posts placed along a one mile trail around the centre of Brighton including at Jubilee Library.
The five commissioned poets are: Sea Sharp, Helen Seymour, Issa Loyaan Farrah, Connor Byrne, Hong Dam. The trail is free, drop in.
