Self Managed Learning College is a Sussex-based learning community for 9-17 years old students, based on a 21st-century approach to education, called Self Managed Learning.
The essence of the Self Managed Learning approach is that we provide a structure within which young people can plan, organise and carry out learning activities. We treat each young person as an individual, so we don’t have classrooms or an imposed curriculum. Each student is able to work out for themselves what and how they want to learn.
The College is part of an educational charity, called The Centre for Self Managed Learning. The Centre has an international reputation for its innovative work, and the College has a local record of success over the last 20 years – as identified by independent research.
