Do you have lived experience of mental health issues or care for somebody with mental health challenges?
Would you like to have your say on mental health provision in your area and directly influence & develop change?
Would you like to be a part of an inclusive and supportive group?
We are a service that aims to improve mental health provision by working with individuals with lived experience, carers, commissioners & providers. We work alongside people & involve them in the design and delivery of services. We work with mental health providers, supporting them to engage with their local communities to develop efficient support that is tailored to need.
We’re recruiting Strategic Representatives from all backgrounds who will be supported by us through a FREE 2 day induction, reasonable paid expenses, ongoing regular supervision and training & development opportunities. Our Strategic Representatives will work with us to influence change and develop services by attending events and focus groups, gathering feedback and facilitating discussion.
Additionally we co- facilitate Local Mental Health Action Groups across East Sussex which provide an opportunity for individuals from all backgrounds with lived experience to influence change through providing feedback about mental health services. At these groups individuals have the opportunity to meet with like- minded individuals in a supportive & confidential environment.
We work with other providers through the facilitation of forums, focus groups and events. We support providers by acting as a neutral & confidential platform to gather feedback regarding service delivery that can contribute to provision improvement. For example we have worked with the Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust & the East Sussex College Group in the past to engage individuals at events and focus groups.
