Energise Sussex Coast is a Community Energy Co-operative established to address fuel poverty in East Sussex through the promotion of energy efficiency programmes and renewable energy generation.
Residents can access energy advice and free energy saving kit by having a telephone or in person appointment. Topics we can help with include: energy saving, bringing down bills, accessing support, grants for white goods, help with energy debt (including applications to energy and water trusts for debt write off), support with problem or incorrect bills, advocacy with suppliers and emergency meter top up vouchers (referral from a support worker required).
Energise Sussex Coast works with communities on decarbonisation projects and other community engagement events. We recruit, train and support volunteer Energy Champions who raise awareness about energy saving and renewable energy in their communities.
Energise Sussex Coast organises regular events, workshops and learning activities in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne and Wealden.
Community buildings such as schools wishing to explore the option of solar panels, renewable heat and energy efficiency should contact Energise Sussex Coast to find out more about their offer. Fully funded solar is available for large roofs.
