Find out how to foster a child with Brighton & Hove City Council.
Becoming a foster carer is an important decision and our friendly fostering team are here to support you at every step. From providing answers to your questions and giving the best advice, to supporting you through the assessment process and beyond. We will do everything we can to help and guide you to become part of our fostering community.
As a local authority, we are not for profit. We will always try to match children with our own carers first which helps to keep children close to their friends, family and school.
All of the support and training we offer is provided locally and many of our foster carers have transferred to us from an independent agency. One foster carer recently commented that they wished they had done this sooner.
