East Sussex County Council are consulting with the public on 11 savings proposals for Adult Social Care and Health that affect services. There are 11 proposals for ASCH with a decision expected in February 2025. The consultations started on 3 Oct and close on 28 Nov 2024.
Hookstead is a day service for people with learning disabilities, based in Crowborough, East Sussex, with easy access to the picturesque Ashdown Forest and local towns including Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells.
Hookstead provides all round person centered support to people with a learning disability offering daily activities both on and off site.
A variety of sessions from cookery to sport and art are offered daily, including sessions off site, for example, a photography group regularly visits local historical properties to enhance their camera skills.
Through links with The Ashdown Forest Society clients have the opportunity to volunteer on the forest carrying out important ecological work.
By supporting people to access their local community we aim to encourage individuals to increase their independence.
Hookstead is a small and friendly environment where individuals are enabled to make and reach goals at their own pace supported by caring and professional staff.
