Listening Books is a national charity that provides an audiobook lending service to anyone in the UK who has an illness, disability, learning difficulty or mental health condition that makes it difficult or impossible to read print, hold a book, turn its pages or read in the usual way.
Audiobooks are available in three easily accessible formats: MP3 CDs direct through the letterbox, downloading to a portable device or streaming instantly online. The audiobook collection has a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles that include bestsellers from authors like Stephen Fry and David Walliams, as well as supporting the National Curriculum from Key Stage 2 to A Level with set texts, revision guides and study aids.
Membership starts from just £20 per year, but free memberships are available for anyone who would find the usual membership fees a barrier to joining the service.
