Free walks open to all; some seafront and park walks suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs, but not rural footpaths.
Free one hour group walks led by trained community volunteers.
Walking is such a great way to improve your fitness and boost your mental health, and health walks are a great way to gradually build a regular walking habit with a friendly group and manageable routes. The walks are only about an hour and they are open to everyone on a pop along basis - no need to book, just turn up shortly before the start time.
The pace will be a fairly easy walking pace, depending on the needs of the group, and we'll try to avoid mud and stiles wherever possible. Sometimes the local geography will include rural footpaths, in which case, sturdy footwear is advisable.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead. Walks usually go ahead even if it is raining but might be shorter or cancelled in extreme weather. Walks could be cancelled without notice if leaders are unwell and no cover is available. Bank holidays by local arrangement.
