Parchment Trust is a registered charity serving people with Autism, learning and physical disabilities. It seeks to raise the profile of people with disabilities so that they are viewed as valued members of society.

We provide services that respond to individual needs, implementing personalised support and providing opportunities for training, occupation and access to the community. Parchment Trust seeks to uphold Christian principles in every area of the organisation. We welcome and support service users and staff of all faiths and none.

Our Charitable Objects are:

The relief of persons with physical, mental and learning disabilities by the provision of residential, occupational and day care activities and all other activities that are conducive to the attainment of this object.

Our Values are:

That everyone should be equal in freedom, dignity and rights and we value and respect everyone equally. We put people at the centre of everything we do because we believe that everyone has the right to happiness, wellbeing and self-esteem.

Our Purpose is:

To enrich the lives of people with disabilities so that they can take as full a place in society as possible. We do this by offering an environment where they are loved, respected and valued, where they can have fun, build relationships and engage in activities that add meaning and purpose to their lives.

Parchment Trust is committed to enabling everyone with whom it works to maximise their potential as valued members of society. In order to do this, the Trust will encourage and help those for whom it provides service to enable them to experience the same freedom and choice in their lifestyles as those without a disability.

Services:

• Dedicated and Bespoke Services
  Largely community based services, focusing on people with profound and complex needs. Level of individual need determines the level of support received. Aims to maximise opportunities and community integration.
• Friary Gardeners offers horticultural experiences and greater independence to adults with a wide spectrum of autism and learning disabilities. Aims to provide a realistic workplace environment through training and purposeful occupation.
• The Co-operative provides an environment for members to access new areas of occupation, development and leisure. Aims for members to become less dependent and more autonomous, maximising their independence.
• Supported Employment opens up the world of work through job coaching, networking and other logistical support. Matches members and employers, providing on-the-job training as needed. Accessed by members from all other services.
