The Caring Physio

The Caring Physio provides expert physiotherapy delivered directly to patients across East Sussex, including Eastbourne, Hastings, Bexhill, Lewes, Hailsham, Seaford, Uckfield, Crowborough and the surrounding areas — part of our wider home-visiting service covering 17 areas across England. We visit people in their own home, care home, or supported living setting, so there's no need to travel to a clinic.

We specialise in working with older adults, people living with dementia, those recovering from stroke or surgery, and individuals with complex or long-term conditions who find it difficult or impossible to attend a clinic. Dementia care is a particular focus — we provide specialist physiotherapy for people living with dementia and Alzheimer's, adapting each session to their memory, communication and mobility needs, at home or in a care home. Our wider services include falls prevention and rehabilitation, neurological physiotherapy, post-operative recovery, respiratory physiotherapy, mobility assessment, and specialist equipment advice, alongside moving and handling training for care staff and contracture prevention.

We also help people leave hospital sooner and recover safely at home, supporting discharge from local hospitals such as Eastbourne District General Hospital and Conquest Hospital and reducing the risk of readmission. Referrals are accepted from GPs, hospital discharge teams, care managers, social workers, case managers, and families.

We work in partnership with Sunday Care Therapy — a CQC-registered home care provider — to deliver The Trusted Carer, a live-in rehabilitation care service that combines daily carer support with weekly physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Together we offer a unique, therapist-led model of care that helps people return to independence, leave hospital sooner, and reduce long-term care costs.
