Since January 2004 the Breakfast Club has proved to be a winner with both parents and pupils. It provides a good start to the school day and it has been said that children who eat breakfast have better levels of concentration in the classroom. The children are provided with a nutritious and balanced breakfast. Children can chose from a wide range consisting of: - Fruit juice - A choice of cereals - Toast and a variety of spreads - A portion of fresh fruit or raisins - Yoghurt or fromage frais. Once the children have eaten they can join other members of the Club in the Hall and, under supervision, they can play quietly with board games, do drawing/colouring, or just chat to friends if they so wish. Just before School starts the children go straight to their classes (the younger children are escorted to their classes) û so thereÆs no hanging around in the playground!'

Wraparound childcare
Wraparound childcare is before and after school childcare for primary school aged children in England. The provision typically runs before school from 8am and after school until 6pm, during term time, either on a school site or another local setting such as a community centre, a nursery, or a childminder. This is different from out-of-school activities, or school clubs, which are less frequent and can be a one-off activity.
