East Sussex MSK Community Partnership is the local NHS organisation that manages the care and treatment of patients with bone, joint and muscle conditions (musculoskeletal or MSK for short). Our service also provides care and support for Rheumatology patients and those with chronic pain.
1 in 3 people in the United Kingdom suffer from an MSK condition and these conditions account for around 30% of GP consultations. Symptoms include pain, stiffness, limited movement and fatigue all of which can affect quality of life and independence.
By bringing different specialisms together we can ensure that patients receive prompt and appropriate care that focuses on their individual needs and situations.
Do you have a problem that is affecting your bones, joints or muscles and would like an assessment from a physiotherapist? East Sussex MSK offers a self-referral service for physiotherapy. This allows patients to access physiotherapy services without needing to see their GP/clinician first. If you are aged 16 or older, and registered with a practice in East Sussex, you can find out more here: Physiotherapy Self-Referral | East Sussex MSK Community Partnership
