Demelza Hospice Care for Children

Our Community Team at Demelza provides a ‘hospice at home’ service to families throughout East Sussex. We have a community nursing team, based in St Leonards, who support children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. We also have a dedicated Family Support Team who are able to provide practical and emotional support. We offer other services including nursing care, respite in the home, an on-call service, end of life care and bereavement support.

Families in East Sussex also benefit from respite breaks at our beautiful hospices in Kent and South-East London. We are a registered charity and fundraise to cover a very large proportion of our costs. We therefore have teams of volunteers throughout the county who help us with fundraising activities.
Families are welcome to self-refer if they feel they would benefit from support from Demelza or a professional can do this on behalf of the family.
