Description
The Martin Fisher Foundation is a Brighton & Hove charity, which was set up in September 2015 by colleagues, family and friends of Professor Martin Fisher in memory of his outstanding national and international contribution to the field of HIV research and patient care.
The Martin Fisher Foundation's vision is to eliminate new HIV cases within a generation by increasing HIV testing, through improving knowledge of HIV, increasing availability PrEP and reducing HIV stigma. Our purpose is to facilitate the city-wide HIV response wherever possible.
Our mission is to promote, preserve and protect the health and wellbeing of people with or at risk of HIV by:
- Increasing access to HIV testing
- Supporting innovation in HIV prevention and care
- Advancing public awareness of HIV to reduce stigma
- Reduce new HIV infections and deaths from HIV-related illness
- Improving the quality of life for people living with HIV
Our values are inspired by Martin and describe the underlying principles about how we work.
