Do you play guitar? Add your sound to ours!
We have two guitar groups to join in Brighton & Hove - one for classical guitarists and another for acoustic/electric guitarists (other musicians & singers also welcome).
Classical guitar ensemble - aimed at nylon-string guitar players who can read music. We play a wide range of repertoire, both traditional and contemporary. A great way to improve music reading skills, learn more about classical guitar music and meet other classical guitarists.
Guitar songs group - for acoustic & electric guitarists, but also singers and other musicians. This group plays songs and instrumental music, including folk, blues, rock, pop and jazz. We also work on improvisation, technique and aspects of style. Great fun and a good way to learn new songs and styles, and maybe work on your singing too.
Both are relaxed & friendly groups meeting most Saturday afternoons at BHASVIC, Dyke Rd/Old Shoreham Rd.
One to one guitar lessons also available.
Directed since 2010 by experienced guitarist and tutor Jon Rattenbury (MA (Music), ATCL).
