The Discovery Centre is a single storey unit which has flat access (small ramp) to entrance. Disabled toilet. Car parking on site right next to centre.
We are a group of volunteers with an interest in conservation. We meet weekly on Thursdays for a couple of hours with a lovely catch up chat and snacks/drink afterwards. We undertake a variety of tasks including path clearing, tree felling, hedge trimming, depending on season. We also have several raised garden areas being maintained and recently added 80 msq of wild flower turf to form a long bank which will also need maintaining. We have developed a Community wild garden, rewilding an area that was short cut turf. 1400 hedge saplings have been planted. More to go plus trees.
Every month on the fourth Wednesday at 7-9pm we hold a social/card playing/ board games/ quiz night.
Groundworks also run a Wednesday gardening group 10am-12md.
We also run a group for children called Nature Detectives - see Eventbrite for details of current event.
