Hangleton Bowling Club is a mixed friendly lawn green bowls club established in 1954. It is now celebrating it's 70th year, this year!
The club is situated in the Knoll Recreation Ground. Entrance is via Elm Drive or Stapley Road, Hove. Both roads are on local bus routes and either road has FREE parking with no time limitations! Each entrance to the bowling club is signposted.
The 2024 bowling season will start on Friday 19th April and will close on the evening of Saturday 28th September.
Come along meet the Mayor who will be opening the bowling season, view the Bowling Club and bowling green, and meet some of the club's members on Friday 19th April 2024.
We offer roll up sessions [ play against other members] and also play matches against other local clubs, if you prefer to play in competitions.
Regular "Roll Up" sessions are on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings: 10.30 -Noon. Apart from these roll up sessions, all full members can bowl any day of the week from 10.30 until dusk.
The club holds regular social events, with generally, finger buffet with a small bar open for refreshments.
New members are always very welcome.
All you need to try the game is flat soled shoes or trainers. We have plenty of spare bowls and will provide basic tuition free to all new players.
So, why not come along, pop in, say 'Hello' and have a look around, and perhaps have a free bowling session on us!
See you soon!
Michael Burtenshaw.
Club Secretary.
