Description
The Michelham Bowmen combine archery with Living History to present a recreation of life during medieval times. We cover the 13th- 15th century. This is when the Priory flourished and the longbow made the English archer the most feared opponent on the battlefield.
We are a non-profit making private society, bound together not only by our interest in archery and the Middle Ages, but also by our commitment to our hosts the Sussex Archaeological Society and their Priory team.
We shoot every Saturday from 12.00 in the grounds of the beautiful and historic Michelham Priory in East Sussex
We make a point of engaging with members of the public who visit the Priory, and usually offer “have a go” archery to visitors.
