Many of you will have driven into or through Newhaven and seen the 'Welcome to Newhaven' signs at the town boundary on the C7, A259, A26 and at the port exit and wondered where in France is La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin?

La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin is a town in the Loiret department in north-central France, situated on the Loire River, about 75 miles south of Paris, close to the city of Orléans. The Loire valley is one of France's popular tourist destinations populated by many chateaux and vineyards.
