Robertsbridge Twinning Association

Robertsbridge is twinned with St. Brice Courcelles in France, a town in the Champagne region just outside Reims.

The Twinning Association was officially inaugurated in 2000, with the aim of fostering links, joint activities and friendships between our two communities. The association was extremely popular for quite a number of years, with a healthy membership; but this started to decline significantly, to the point where we no longer had the funds to operate properly. As a result, we mothballed it around four years ago whilst we looked at ways of making it work. Now, in close consultation with our French counterparts (who have managed to keep their association going!), we are in the process of 're-launching' the association. The new model will, through its website, allow people in both communities to find out information about events, and to message each other to arrange trips. It's very early days: but progress is being made.
