A day centre for older members of the community with dementia, run by Spring Care PAs who have been providing care to people at home since 2013.
The Club's mission is to provide a range of person-centred activities that support physical and mental wellbeing by reducing loneliness and enabling people to maintain social interactions within a safe environment.
Our activities include games, puzzles, quizzes, art and craft, reminiscence, singing, chair exercises, and more.
Activities are planned with our clients in mind and with a choice on the day. Everyone is encouraged to join in but there is no pressure to do so, you may just prefer to sit in an armchair and read a newspaper with the comforting feeling of having other people around you.
All clients will be assessed prior to attending the centre to determine the level of care needed and to ensure that we are able to provide that support within this setting. Clients using wheelchairs must be able to stand and transfer from their wheelchairs. Qualified care staff are always on duty but if you require 1:1 support and supervision throughout the day you should attend with your carer.
The Club is open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week at a cost of £64 per session to include a two course lunch and refreshments throughout the day. If you are attending with your carer due to your own support needs then an additional charge of £10 for lunch and refreshments will be made.
