A day centre for older members of the community with dementia, run by Spring Care PAs who have been providing care to people at home since 2013.
Our Day Centre in Battle, East Sussex runs on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week. Open to all older members of the community with or without dementia.
Most of our clients have dementia or other cognitive impairment.
Most are living in their own homes in Battle, Bexhill, Hastings, St Leonards, Robertsbridge and Sedlescombe; but some come to us each week from their care home. Everyone is welcome.
The Club provides a range of person-centred activities that support physical and mental wellbeing. We aim to reduce loneliness and enable people to maintain social interactions within a safe environment.
Our activities are well planned to stimulate conversation, laughter, movement, teamwork and competition. We want our clients to have a sense of purpose.
Activities include games, puzzles, quizzes, art and craft, reminiscence, singing, chair exercises, film afternoons, and more! Some of our clients reignite their memory and love of art, or playing chess, or cards, or just enjoy having a chat over a cup of tea and a cake.
We provide a safe, social and caring environment for older people who may live alone, and to those whose carer needs a break from their caring responsibilities.
More than a social club, we have a team of professional care staff on hand all day to support you as needed.
The Club is open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week at a cost of £64 per session to include a two course lunch supplied by a local restaurant, and refreshments throughout the day.
Funding may be available for you to attend the Club, please contact us to discuss and we will be happy to make enquiries on your behalf.
Transport is available, please call to discuss.
Please Note: All clients will be assessed prior to attending the centre to determine the level of care needed and to ensure that we are able to provide that support within this setting. Clients using wheelchairs must be able to stand and transfer from their wheelchairs.
