A choir performing West Gallery sacred part music in eighteenth-century costumes as used in the English Church and Independent Chapel, and Shape-note music, its American derivative, which is a living tradition.
We perform several times a year as invited but sing/play mostly for our own enjoyment.
We meet most Thursdays (except during August) at Trinity South Malling Church, Lewes, for practice 8-10 pm. Experience or sight-reading ability useful but not necessary for singing. Singers and wind or string instrumentalists very welcome at all times. NO AUDITIONS! Come along for a taster evening!
