Description
We are a group of gardeners based in covering the villages of Ticehurst, Wadhurst, Hawkhurst and Hurst Green, meeting every month at Ticehurst Village Hall. All are welcome at the club, whether beginner or expert. We have a full programme of meetings for 2023, with a couple of visits to local gardens.
Meetings take place each month except August at Ticehurst Village Hall.
The evening meetings are normally on the first Wednesday of the month, and begin at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated.
We hold 2 shows a year.
Trophies are presented by our president or one of the vice presidents.
We have a presentation of the competition trophies and AGM in November, followed by a glass of wine and refreshments. It’s all very informal and friendly.
Where we can arrange it, there is an outing to an interesting garden.
For coach outings, the admission is usually priced in the region of £25 per person.
We also arrange summer visits to a local garden.
