Self-organising group of retired people who wish to continue learning and enjoying leisure activities together. Battle and District U3A (University of the Third Age) usually meets on the first Monday of the month in the Emmanuel Centre, Harriers Lane, off Marley Lane, Battle.
Meetings start at 10:30 am after a chat over refreshments, and usually include a speaker. During the month there is a wide variety of activities organised by members for members.
Our current groups are listed below:
Book Clubs, Chess, Current affairs, three Walking groups, History, Lunch group, Music for Pleasure, Singing for fun, Out and About, Shakespeare group, Scrabble, Short tennis, Ukulele, Book clubs, Gardening group, Petanque and Pickleball.
In addition to our regular events, a number of social activities are organised throughout the year including 'Murder Mystery' afternoons and seasonal quizzes.
