The Trust for Developing Communities tackles inequality in Brighton & Hove.
We work with communities facing poverty and exclusion, bringing people together to take action and deliver community-led solutions.
Community Development: The Trust for Developing Communities helps communities in Brighton and Hove solve their own problems. They do this by helping people connect and use their existing strengths and resources. The Trust's staff supports neighborhoods and citywide groups, helping them grow and thrive.
Ageing Well: is a city-wide project for the over 50’s led by Impact Initiatives. TDC, as one of the partner organisations delivers this work across the East area of the city, in the Deans, Whitehawk, Manor Farm and Bristol Estate.
Equalities: TDC believes that we are enriched by the diverse range of people within our communities. We recognise that discrimination exists and that when we proactively support people to participate, including our most excluded and vulnerable citizens - everyone gains.
Young people: have a critical role to play in their communities and across Brighton & Hove. TDC delivers safe and transformational Youth Work to give young people the skills and confidence to make positive changes in their own lives and achieve great things for themselves and their communities.
We offer training to community groups and organisations. For more training for minority ethnic communities and employability support check out our work and learning section.
