Lifelines is about growing old and still living your best life, enjoying doing what you want to do. Maybe slowing down a little, but definitely not stopping! Keep doing things you’ve enjoyed doing your whole life or throw caution to the wind and try something different. We’re all about that.
We run volunteer-led activities and one-to-one support schemes to help people stay more active and better engaged with their communities. Volunteers are recruited, trained and supported to start up their own activity groups at a suitable venue and support activities from computer lessons, line dancing , gentle exercising, on-line quizzes to world culture sessions. The main goal is to have fun.
Our volunteers host group activities for those 50+ across the city, a chance to connect, learn something new, make friends, and maybe have some fun too. All our activities are inspired by our volunteers and we always welcome new ideas and activities that can be added to our regular programme.
We also have 1-2-1 services where our volunteers accompany those 50+ to health appointments (Healthlink) or support people to get to grips with modern tech (Tech Tutors).
If you would like to know more or are interested in joining an activity maybe even leading your own, then please get in touch
