Reflect is run by a team of volunteers who are passionate about demonstrating love and compassion to everyone who comes to us.
We provide a non-judgemental service to all, irrespective of beliefs. We are motivated by our Christian faith, and it is core to our values to treat every person with care and respect, regardless of their gender, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
Some of our trained volunteers have a professional counselling qualification, and all have received specialist training for this work. We follow the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) Code of Ethics and Practice.
As we are a non-medical agency we cannot refer directly for an abortion. However, you can be sure of our impartial support, and we will discuss all options with you.
Reflect’s services are free, non-judgmental, non-directive and confidential. They are available to individuals or couples. We offer appointments on the telephone, in person or by video calls.
We serve the Hastings and Rother area, which includes Battle, Bexhill, Rye and Robertsbridge.
Pregnancy Choices
Have you found out you are pregnant, and don’t know what to do? Or do you know someone who doesn’t know what to do? It may be that you are facing a complicated pregnancy.
Making a decision can be a confusing and difficult process, especially if the pregnancy is unplanned or unexpected or there is pressure from other people. You may be experiencing a range of conflicting thoughts and emotions, as well as shock.
Reflect’s specially trained volunteers can give you time and space to think. They can help you consider all your options so you can make an informed decision whether to parent, have an abortion or plan adoption.
Being able to make an unpressured decision, in a kind, safe and supportive environment, reduces the likelihood of having regrets in the future.
Post Abortion Support
Are you finding it difficult to come to terms with having had an abortion? Or someone close to you having one? You may be confused by conflicting emotions, whether it was the only option you could see at the time, or whether you felt pressured by people and circumstances.
Reflect can give you time and space to think, to share and work through your thoughts and emotions. Whether your abortion was recent or years ago, our caring and supportive team will listen and help you express what you are feeling and thinking.
We offer ‘Walking the Journey’ a structured post-abortion programme. It enables women and men to consider how the experience has affected them – physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is a healing process that takes place over several weeks.
