Bliss exists to give every baby born premature or sick in the UK the best chance of survival and quality of life. We champion their right to receive the best care by supporting families, campaigning for change and supporting professionals, and enabling life-changing research. We give parents of premature and sick babies somewhere to turn to for information and support.
We offer the following support services that families can access
Email support service:
Families of babies who are born premature or sick can get in touch with our support team directly by emailing: [email protected] This is a self referral service mainly accessed by parents who are either on or have had a neonatal experience and would like some further support. We aim to respond to these emails within 3 working days and act as a supportive outlet for parents providing signposting to services that may be help in your journey.
Online Champion Service:
This is a service where families can access support over zoom with a fully trained volunteer Bliss champion. Bliss champions offer emotional support and practical information to parents who have a baby on a neonatal unit, or who have recently been discharged. You can arrange an appointment with a Bliss champion by sending an email to [email protected] and we will set this up for you. You can find out more information about the service on the online support page of our website.
Bliss social media:
By following Bliss on social media families can also have access to lots of information and support. We have Instagram Q&A’s which are saved in the highlights reel (on subjects such as RSV, mental health support, coming home from a neonatal unit with your baby, starting school) We also have lots more in the pipeline.
