ESVS is a charity that supports adults who are blind or have a vision impairment and live in East Sussex; including Wealden, Lewes, Rother, and Brighton and Hove. We promote independence, confidence, health and wellbeing and work to reduce social isolation by increasing awareness of sight loss and the support available for it.
We provide a range of services, such as: Low Vision Aids & Equipment, Low Vision Support Workers, A Higher Intervention Service, Advice & Signposting, a range of Social Groups across the county and an IT tech support service.
Social Groups
ESVS supports a range of local social groups throughout the county, including a Theatre Group and Sound Tennis Sussex. Each group is organised by a team of local volunteers and usually meets once a month. Transport to and from the meetings can be arranged.
Our more active groups are often in Brighton, where Sound Tennis Sussex is also based, while the Tuesday Club meets at different venues throughout the year.
Below is the full list of ESVS's current social groups. To find out more, please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator.
