Denton and South Heighton Reading Group

Denton and South Heighton Reading Group is a brand new friendly and welcoming Reading Friends Group that meet in Denton, Newhaven, supporting our local library and sourcing our reading group’s books from East Sussex County Council’s Libraries.

As the longer nights draw in, why not sit back with a shared good read and make new friends with a local reading group. Denton and South Heighton Reading Group is starting for the first time from October 2026 and we will meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 3pm till 4pm in a local village pub. You buy your own refreshments and we will have an informal chat about the parts of the book you are liking (or disliking) the most. 

The group has a Reading Group Leader and Facilitator, Hannah, who you can email for more information, join, or request that you go on the waiting list.

Each meeting costs £2 per session. Your meeting cost fee includes the loan of the Libraries Reading Group book. 

On joining you will be asked to read and sign our Reading Group Policy, and provide your contact details -  in line with GDPR -  in case you lose the library book!
